When we book the hotel do we book directly on hotel site?
No. Please use the booking link on the home page. We have negotiated a very special rate for our wedding guests:
- Double Room: USD 245.00 per night.
- Children 4 to 12 sharing a room with parents: USD 50.00 per child per night.
- Infants (up to 4 years): free of charge.
- Single Room: USD 210.00 per night.
Maximum 5 per room (2 adults + 3 children).
Will I need a Visa?
Yes you will. Electronic Travel Visa (eTA, fee of $30), Apply at least 3 days before, but several weeks before is recommended. Please check that you have a passport valid for 6 months from departure. You may also need to show proof of accomodation, return or onward ticket.
Do we need to arrange transport from the airport to Swahili Beach Resort Hotel?
No. We will arrange this for you for arrivals on 26th and 27th August provided we know your arrival time in advance and at which airport. There are many other airlines that also come into Mombasa (an hour’s drive from the hotel) or Ukunda (10 mins drive from the hotel) and you may wish to contact those such as Turkish, Qatar etc.
Do we need to bring any local currency?
Yes, it may be helpful for tips on arrival, but the hotel cashier desk will be pleased to change sterling to shillings at the rates ruling at the time. The current rate is £1 = c175 shillings
Do I need to inform of any dietary/allergy requirements now?
Yes, please. It will help us incredibly to plan a better experience for everyone.
The wedding functions start from evening of Thursday 27th August. Can we come a day or 2 earlier.
Yes. You can book the hotel a day earlier on 26th August and depart a day later on 1st September.
Are there any shops nearby just in case we forget our factor 50?
Yes, there is a large 24 hour Carrefour supermarket & a pharmacy literally 5 mins walk outside the resort.
